What are you missing at breakfast?

I know for many years I didn't even eat breakfast. I couldn’t, until I tried.

Just like anything, building a routine around eating breakfast, sticking to it and making it a habit will get you on track to correct this nutrition no no.

Make your breakfast count. If you are going to get up that 20 minutes earlier to eat then you want it to be worth it. Try to balance out your carbs, fats and protein to the 40-30-30% rule.

Water is the most important thing you can consume in the morning. You have just fasted for 6-8 hours. You need water ASAP and a fair bit to get you started. I make sure I have 2 glasses of water with breakfast to ensure I am hydrated for the first part of the day. I find that I have more energy straight away.

PRO TIP - drink your water from a glass, rather than a bottle etc. My training improved, my skin was clearer and I wasn't as ‘foggy’. Remember keep it up throughout the day too.

For those of you who ARE eating breakfast. GOOD FOR YOU! Make your brekkie the best it can be. Enjoy it.
