SKIP BREAKFAST? HERE’S WHY YOU SHOULDN’T!

Breakfast means “break the fast”. Eating breakfast (particularly one high in protein) is important as it stabilises bloody sugar, decreases hunger and helps combat those late-afternoon cravings for sugary, high calorie snacks. Going for long periods of time without eating or eating very little actually increases our brain’s response to high-fat, high calorie foods and causes us to crave foods that we normally wouldn’t eat!

Eat every few hours (i.e wake up and eat breakfast!) to keep a steady flow of nutrients and energy to your body. When we include protein in these meals it helps to support our lean muscle mass and recovery from exercise.

Protein needs to be included in every meal. If you are like many people and have a fast breakfast or tend to have toast & coffee, try including something like a Progenex More Muscle shake as part of your breakfast. This protein can also help top up your protein consumption throughout the day.
