Six months ago, my doctor recommended that I lose weight, increase my muscle mass, and improve my cardiovascular fitness. After decades of a sedentary lifestyle, I knew I needed support and coaching to achieve these goals. I contacted Brett at CrossFit Moreton Bay (CFMB) and started my CrossFit journey. I made an initial commitment to attend CFMB three days a week. My recovery from the workouts improved with time and I approach my workday now with greater energy compared to the time when there was no CrossFit workout in my day. Brett and the other coaches are excellent instructors who create a friendly environment that focuses on safety and adjusts the workout to suit every individual’s capability. The support from the community of CFMB athletes and the coaches has helped me to stay motivated and achieve my goals. I have decreased my body weight by 5kg and reduced my waist size by two inches. My strength has increased over the last six months and my body composition has changed for the better. My health has improved, and my doctor was impressed with my progress at my last appointment. I’ve found myself doing things I never expected – like participating in Crossfit competitions, and working out when I am travelling to keep up with my fellow gym members. My wife and daughter have also started at CFMB to achieve their personal goals. I have found a new community, a new set of friends, and a new outlook on my health and fitness – thanks Brett and the CFMB coaches.
