Tell us about you? - age/nicknames/background
Hi all I’m Sam I am 29 years old (OMG I’m nearly 30) and I have been doing CrossFit for just over 3 years. I am a primary school teacher
What did you do fitness wise before crossfit?
I was the typical gym junkie
Why crossfit?
I started to lack motivation and inspiration going to the gym, so a friend suggested I try CrossFit and I have never looked back. CrossFit never gets boring, there is always something new to do and new to learn. I love the challenge CrossFit gives you. It’s also the community and people that makes CrossFit what it is.
What results have you seen while at CFMB
Since starting CrossFit I have seen huge improvements in my overall health and wellbeing. I can also lift heavy stuff!

Clean and Jerk
Least favourite?
Wall Balls (Booo)
Favourite food/?
Coffee (it’s a food group, right?)
Who or what inspires you?
People inspire me when they work hard for what they want. It is so inspirational to see people achieve something when they work hard and don’t give up, that’s what CrossFit is all about.
Advice to new comers?
‘Give it a go’ (Cliché, I know) – CrossFit isn’t scary like so many people think it is, all workouts can be scaled and modified to suit anybody. We all had to start somewhere.
